Bill and Lorraine Rose always envisioned an enjoyable retirement but their dream started to unravel 12 years ago when they realised their grandchildren were not being properly cared for.

Now, they have become primary caretakers of their six grandchildren and life has never been busier.

Looking after the kids — aged between two and 12 — is a full-time job and all thoughts of a peaceful retirement are long-gone.
