Experts who predicted one interest rate rise late this year, or perhaps early next year, are now thinking the Reserve Bank could cut rates at least twice this year.  Money market interest rates — which peaked earlier this year at 8.1 per cent — have fallen to just over 7.3 per cent. It's a signal that the market is expecting two rate cuts, possibly three. But it’s not necessarily good news for home owners - the federal government is still trying to pressure our major banks to pass on in full any cut the central bank may make.</description>
